Collective community input into a proposed governance model

The elected community representatives of the Norfolk Island Governance Committee (NIGC) have, since being elected, undertaken weekly meetings with members of the local community to obtain feedback on potential governance models and the recent JSCNCET report "Restoring Democracy".
The attached paper reflects community feedback from these consultations. It is being publicly released to confirm your input and voice has been included in this draft governance model which will be presented to the full committee for discussion.
It is important to understand that this document is not the agreed position of the NIGC. The consensus view of the NIGC is yet to be determined - this document will be an important starting point on agreeing the model to go to Government for consideration.
