State of Emergency extension until April 30th, 2022The Emergency Management Norfolk Island Committee (EMNIC) has agreed to a request to extend the current State of Emergency (SoE). The extension is until the end of April 2022 and is to allow time for directions to be produced for the management of COVID-19 on the island, in the long term, under appropriate public health legislation. The Emergency Management Team (EMT) and Incident Management Team (IMT) structures established under the SoE will continue during the extension.
Removal of the Entry Permit system
The requirement to obtain an Entry Permit to travel to the island has been removed from the 1st of April, 2022. However, if you are returning to the island or travelling to the island for a holiday or work it is strongly recommended that you still undertake a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for COVID-19 within 48 hours of departing and if this is positive do not travel to the island. It is also recommended that you still undertake a further RAT within 24 hours of arrival. The requirement to report a positive test result to NIHRACS remains. The requirement for unvaccinated travellers to the island to undertake self-isolation is also removed.https://admin.siteglide.com/#
