I am a Norfolk Islander of Pitcairn descent; PhD candidate at Griffith University in the field of critical heritage studies and cultural justice and Research Fellow for the Reimagining KAVHA Project. In 2015 I travelled to Canberra with the Norfolk Island delegation to encourage open dialogue with the Australian government; I have represented Norfolk Island internationally at the Commonwealth Youth Parliament in London; have been President of the Community Arts Society of Norfolk Island and recently worked as Co-Chair with Hawai’i on the delivery of the Youth Ambassador Program at the Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture in 2024. I am passionate about Norfolk Island, our community, our culture en auwas kamfram.
I am an advocate for the recognition of the special relationship that the Norfolk Islanders have to our homeland and those who have chosen to make Norfolk Island their home. I encourage all those who love and respect Norfolk Island to consider your responsibility as democratic agents, and to be the change. Se time!
