For the fist time, the John Buffett family diaries have been brought together by Albert F Buffett (4th Generation)

The book shares the real life accounts of the ordinary people, the farmers, the fishermen, the whalers and their families who lived extraordinary lives in an era and time in history that preccded the digital age.

Handwritten entrees have been meticulously transcribed by Albert, in chronological order, to share a unified voice of everyday happenings and historical events in the community from 1856-1892.

Through these diaries we are given a rare insight into the real life of the Norfolk Island people and from this we are better able to understand the factual narrative of the island
